Miami-Dade County has introduced a new online platform to simplify tourist and convention tax reporting for businesses.
Miami-Dade County has officially transitioned to its new Convention and Tourist Tax Hub, replacing the previous system used for tax filings, payments, and account management. The updated platform is designed to streamline tax administration for hotels, restaurants, short-term rental operators, and other businesses responsible for collecting tourism-related taxes. The county has also provided instructional materials and training resources to help business owners navigate the new system and comply with reporting requirements. Businesses are expected to use the platform to manage their accounts and submit monthly tax returns, including during periods when no taxable revenue is collected. The transition represents an effort to modernize local tax administration, improve accessibility, and simplify compliance procedures for businesses operating in Miami-Dade County.
