Florida employers will begin using the state’s new online system for reemployment-tax filings and payments on August 24, 2026, following another postponement.
The portal was previously expected to begin accepting reemployment-tax filings on August 3, after an original June 1 launch date. The implementation was postponed to provide additional time for final testing and review. Beginning August 24, employers must use the new system to file quarterly unemployment-tax reports and submit related payments. Florida officially refers to its unemployment-insurance tax as the “reemployment tax.” Businesses and payroll professionals should confirm that their filing procedures and saved portal links are updated before their next submission.
