Florida’s 2026 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday will allow families to purchase qualifying school supplies, clothing, footwear, learning aids, and personal computers without paying sales tax during the exemption period.
Florida families will have a full month to save on back-to-school purchases during the 2026 sales tax holiday, scheduled from July 20 through August 20. Qualifying items are expected to include clothing and footwear priced at $100 or less, certain school supplies priced at $50 or less, learning aids and puzzles priced at $30 or less, and personal computers or related accessories priced at $1,500 or less. The exemption applies to eligible in-store and online purchases, helping families reduce costs before the start of the school year. Businesses should also prepare for the holiday by reviewing eligible items, updating point-of-sale systems, and informing customers about qualifying purchases. For more information, click here.
