Florida’s 2026 Hunting, Fishing and Camping Sales Tax Holiday began September 1 and runs through December 31, 2026, eliminating sales tax on a range of qualifying outdoor products.
Florida shoppers can now purchase many hunting, fishing and camping products without paying state sales tax. Eligible camping products include tents costing $200 or less, sleeping bags, camping stoves, portable hammocks and collapsible chairs costing $50 or less, and lanterns or flashlights costing $30 or less. Fishing rods and reels qualify at $75 or less each, or $150 for a matched set, while tackle boxes qualify up to $30. The exemption period lasts four full months, making it one of Florida’s longest sales-tax holidays of 2026. State estimates indicate the holiday will reduce state and local tax collections by about $40 million, effectively leaving those savings with consumers. For more information click here.
