A USD 265 million tax equity commitment will support three utility-scale solar projects totaling 305 MWdc in Florida , all using domestically sourced equipment.
An impact investment firm is providing USD 265 million in tax equity financing to support three utility-scale solar projects totaling 305 MWdc in the U.S. Southeast. The package includes the 96-MWdc Whistling Duck solar project in Levy County, Florida (about USD 65 million) and the Walker Springs I and II projects in Clarke County, Alabama, which together add 209 MWdc of capacity and receive the remaining USD 200 million. Whistling Duck and Walker Springs I are in late-stage construction and are expected to start operating in late 2025, while Walker Springs II is scheduled for early 2026. All three projects use domestically sourced equipment, and the investment both expands clean-energy generation in rural communities and contributes to a broader portfolio of more than 3 GW of supported energy capacity across the country.
