On July 1, 2024, over 150 new Florida laws took effect, addressing key areas:

- Parenting: Child custody exchanges at safe locations, online parenting resources, and jury duty exemptions for new mothers.
- Education: Added communism history in school curricula, volunteer school chaplains, tuition waivers for dropouts, and a ban on "identity politics" in teacher training.
- Environment: Enhanced bear-defense rights, banned local heat-exposure protections for workers, and repealed laws on greenhouse gas emissions and offshore wind turbines.
